COMPANY HISTORY

ELISA & FRANZ CARTIER

 A crazy business idea

As managing director of an international service company, Franz Cartier and his employees had already played through almost everything that was offered in team development. Something new and exciting was required. Only what?

When his wife Elisa suggested in the spring of 2006 that they take advantage of one of their many years of successful cooking courses, Franz met with great skepticism. Manager and cook? He had never heard of such a crazy idea.

The rest is history. Cooking and enjoying together wasn't just a huge success for the team. The experience turned the whole life of the Cartier couple upside down! Franz gave up being a manager at the age of 50 and, together with Elisa, developed the Cuisines Cartier concept, which has been offered in the specially converted rooms in Wasenboden since August 2007.

After more than a thousand cooking events with more than 600 companies and organizations, the two company founders were able to hand over the business to their younger son Yves in January 2018. A crazy business idea has found its way.
